Thank you for visiting. While I have put up a lot of content about my current and retired show dogs, some of our extended family of dogs, I have a long list still to include. It will happen..jpg)
I also have information and links about the breed in general.
And - I try to update my BLOG periodically. Note - not a daily status type - I use this area when something interesting in my "Darwyn Life" comes to my attention, or tips that I want to share.
So ... what is happening these days?
A lot!
In the US ...
JOE:
GCh (akc) & Can CH Darwyn's I'm Not Arguing That
#2 Welsh Terrier after only 3 months!

After a few weekends as a puppy being shown by his breeder (including 2 majors owner/breeder handled), JOE came back out to the US in April 2010 and so far has has very few weekends (1?) when he did not get a group placement! WOW!
He was awarded group placements as a class dog and finished at the Northern California Terrier Specialty weekend with a Best of Breed win (from the open class) over the specials dogs (including a multi BIS WT)!
Since then he has WON the Terrier Group multiple times and has had many group placements (enough to make him #2 Welsh Terrier in the US!) ... at the time of writing this, only 3 months of activity, and only TWO as a special!

In Canada ...
After a very successful short US campaign, PARKER is now in Canada and is #1 Welsh Terrier!
PARKER: Am/Can CH Darwyn's Webslinger
In the 6 months he was shown in the US:- Best of Breed win at the 2009 US National Specialty at Montgomery County KC (from the Open Dog Class!),
- Best of Breed at the 2009 Eukanuba/AKC National,
- Group Win at a large Terrier Group (300+ terriers) in Portland Oregon in January 2010,
- and then an Award of Merit at the 2010 Westminster KC (in a very competitive breed entry)!
Parker will be shown sparingly in Canada (BC/Alberta) in 2010. He hit the ground running here!
- finished his Canadian Championship in 2 show weekends and multiple Group 2nd placements.
- 4 Group Wins!
- #1 Welsh Terrier in Canada!
ATHENA - Am/Can CH Darwyn's Heroic Endeavour
After Athena (half-sister to Parker, same dam) won Winners Bitch at the US National Specialty, and finished her American Championship, she came back to Canada. She was shown for a few weekends (primarily in Ontario), and finished her championship with multiple group placements. We are hoping that she will be a new mother this fall.
PAISA - BIS Am/Can CH Sanherpinc Paisa (pictured above)
2009 was really Paisa's year! Also in limited showing (6 months in the US), Paisa was was the #1 Welsh Terrier (2009) in both the US and Canada including 5 Best in Show awards! Paisa was handled by Wood & Jenny Wornall in the US and I owner-handled her to all of her wins in Canada. Following this brief, yet very successful, show career, she went to Holland to be bred and had 6 beautiful puppies.
Everyone in the "darwyn" hosuehold is in various stages of being stripped (trimmed) .... only Parker right now is truly in show coat. Since only Joe is being actively campaigned, I don't have any definite show plans for the balance of the year ... you'll need to check back on my blog to see what is going on!
So - please check back every once in a while as I will fill in the blanks on my website (over time), I'll add new content, and I'll update my blog periodically! Remember, this is a hobby for me - I am balancing doing this with enjoying time with Michael, the puppies, preparing for dog shows and doing a bit of travel ... so, I'll try to do updates where possible, but if it's not always up to date, please know that lot's is still happening here and we are having fun - on both sides of the Canada / US border!
